Time to brighten up your garden? Besides how it looks paint provides outdoor fencing and decking with a protective coat to protect from the elements. This coat of paint usually needs replenishing every 2-3 years to be effective. Once the paint wears off the structure becomes vulnerable to the elements and can sustain damage prematurely. Fence and decking painting is very time consuming but can be cost effective compared to replacing with new.

We start with good preparation, if we are painting a fence it is important any grass around the fence is cut back not to impede on the painting. A large sheet should be placed below the fence to stop any splashes of paint staining the floor. Any loose or flaking paint should be removed from the fence before painting. It is always a good idea to jet wash the fence or sand before work starts.

The paint has to be specialised exterior paint to withstand the elements that are going to be thrown at it. We advise to use a good quality branded paint as it will cost more to repaint than it would paying more for the paint in the first place.

Make sure the paint is applied while the weather is good. A sunny dry day is idealfor applying a fresh coat of paint to any exterior structure.
