Hanging new wallpaper can dramatically change the look and feel of your home. The difference in the home DIY enthusiast and the professional lies in good planning and knowing the tricks for achieving smooth seams, working on corners, and cutting and trimming the wallcovering.

At City PaintCraft we have many years of experience of hanging all kinds of wallpaper from small rooms to complete refurbishment of hotels. The key to good wallpapering lies in many elements.

Wall Preparation.

The walls need to be completely smooth and blemish free. Any holes or imperfections need to be treated and left to set before any paper is even thought about being hung.

Wallpaper quality.

You really do get what you pay for when it comes to wall paper. I recommend a good quality thick wallpaper from a reputable supplier.

Plain or patterned.

If you choose a patterned wallpaper it will take longer to hang than a plain counterpart. Any patterned wallpaper should look seamless to the eye from 12” outwards.
